Gentlemen, start your engines

Perky has been "about to walk" for a few weeks now. She would take a few steps and decide that it was all she needed to do for a few days. You know, just to keep us on our toes and our camera charged.

Today, while "helping" Mommy with the laundry (i.e. PUTTING EVERYTHING ON THE FLOOR) (p.s.: ignore the laundry and hangers in the background!) the walking thing "clicked" in her little mind.

We have just reached critical mass.

You don't get if you don't ask.

Sunday afternoon, Emily-Marie and I went to the garden center to look at the pretty flowers.
I was hoping to get pictures of our pretty girl in front of some strawberry plants, but she wasn't interested in having her photo taken.

She wouldn't even pose for mama.

Then mama noticed that there were LOTS of strawberries just rotting on the plant.
Perfectly good strawberries; tomatoes too.
The garden center was just leaving them for the birds.
 What a waste.

So I asked If I could have a few.
"Help yourself!" was the answer.

Emily-Marie wasn't sure about the strawberries at first.

But how blessed are we that now we have more produce than we know what to do with!
